On World Water Day i.e., 22 March 2021, GuruJal Society in collaboration with Fast FC Academy organised a Football Exhibition Match under the flagship of Dr. Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner Gurugram to raise awareness about valuing water through school students of Gurugram.

This awareness event is organised under the National Water Mission’s “Catch the Rain” Campaign which was announced by our Hon’ble Prime Minister in Mann ki Baat. This year the theme of World Water Day is Valuing Water with an aim to highlight sustainable, efficient and inclusive methods to manage water resources.

The objective was to nurture students as the brand ambassadors for Environmental Sustainability. Taking environment as a theme the two teams where formed named as Ped (tree) and Paani (Water). Number of students participating in this event were 80+ ranging from the age group of 4 to 18. Students across schools like Scottish High, Made Easy, Pathways, Amity, Manav Rachna, Suncity etc. along with their parents participated in the match. During the event, the students participated in water pledge, poster making and quiz-like activities related to Water Conservation. Covid 19 guidelines were followed during the entire event.
