With a view to conserve water for the future, the Prime Minister launched a new Mission on Amrit Sarovar on 24th April 2022. The Mission is aimed at developing and rejuvenating 75 water bodies in each district of the country as a part of celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Under this mission, Sh. Rajiv Ranjan, IAS (Commissioner, Gurugram Division) inaugurated the Hariahera Pond and Sh. Rao Inderjit Singh (Member of Parliament and Minister in Haryana State Government), and Mr. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS (Deputy Commissioner Gurugram) inaugurated the Chandla Dungarwas Pond on the occasion of the World Labour Day (1 May), and told the communities about the Amrit Sarovar Mission, and how we can conserve it for a better future.
