MCG (Urban) Plantation Drive 2020
GuruJal is facilitating Municipal Corporation of Gurugram in the plantation drive conducted for Resident Welfare Associations and NGOs of Gurugram. MCG started this drive with the onset of monsoons and until now more than 20000 plants have been distributed to be planted in the premises of RWAs and NGOs.
The participation and turnout of this drive has made this drive one of the most successful plantation drives conducted by MCG. We have also collaborated with the volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) for better coordination with the RWAs at the Nurseries. The areas have been divided into zones and 4 government nurseries have been shortlisted for collecting the plants. The drive is still carried forward and will continue until August. The nurseries have been replenished with plants by obtaining more saplings from the nurseries of forest department.
