GuruJal organized the orientation and painting competition on the theme of water conservation with students of government schools in Tajnagar, Palasoli and Hariahera. Painting can help the students communicate their emotions or feelings. Through the use of different colours, they can express themselves without the use of words. It also plays the role of therapy for a child who might be feeling different emotions; whether these feelings are subtle or extreme in nature. In addition to communication, painting can help children feel better about things that they may have bottled up inside.
In the orientation programme, we showed the videos regarding the Gurugram water situation, rejuvenation & restoration of Johad and told them about the current situation of Gurugram, and how we can save the water individually. In the painting competition, a total 150+ students participated in the painting competition to spread awareness regarding saving water. Also, we captured the bites of teachers and students for the short-film.
