The Pond is in dry condition having no Water, depends only upon Rain for the water.

The Pond is surrounded by the Boundary wall made up of Brick Masonry.

Near about 200 Meters away from the pond the Waste water of the Village is getting accumulated along with the Solid waste also in it.

The Accumulated waste water of the village contains Water Hyacinth, Dirty Water and Solid Wastes.

Since the accumulated waste water mostly contains the Sewage Waste, hence the Most Important Contaminants with their Sources and Environmental Significance are:



Note: The List of Contaminants is Suggestive and not Compressive.

As per the Site Visit with the Sarpanch Baghera, it’s been observed that the accumulated waste water can be treated through installing STP in between waste water Spot and Present dry pond. The Gram Panchayat land around 1 Acre is also available in between. This installation of STP will make the Recycled waste water entering into the Dry Pond.

The pond is at depressed waterlogged Area, will be receiving the excess water of rainfall also may results in overflow.

The base of pond is filled with the silt which is not allowing the water to percolate into ground and thus increasing the volume of the pond.

The pond is nearer to the village Temple, required immediate cleaning, segregation of solid waste and treatment of waste water.

The Boundary of the Pond is present at two sides with proper Drainage inlet channels.

The sewage water of the entire village is connected to central sewage drain of Govt. which is directed into one of Govt. STP, except this 30 % of population.

The entry of sewage of 30 % Village population into this pond will get stopped and will direct into the Central drain present adjacent to the Highway.

The pond requires cleaning, Dewatering of dirty water, removal of Wastes, Beautification and De-siltation.

The Boundary of the Pond is also not present.

The pond should only be used for the Collection of Rain Water.

The pond has been divided into two parts: Part 1 (towards the village); Part 2 (Contains polluted greywater)

PART 1: The sewage waste water of the entire village is being discharged in this part. It contains Water Hyacinth, Dirty Water and Solid Wastes. This part overflows into Part 2.

PART 2: It contains contaminated Grey Water.

The pond expands towards sewage water collection side in case of an overflow.

Absence of a Spillway at the location.

Prior to sewage water discharge, the pond received water from irrigation canal through underground pipeline.

At present Rain is the only of fresh water source for the pond.

This is the new waterlogged area observed into the village in which the entire villages sewage water is being diverted through proper drainage system.

The sewage waste water of the 90% village is being discharged in this Pond. It contains Dirty Water and Solid Wastes.

The treatment vof upcoming sewage water is eing proposed by the Swachh Bhaarat Missions ODF+ activity, in which the water is being treated through three pond system.

The Pond did not contains the boundary wall.

As this is the newly made artificial sewage accumulation area, needs a lot of contour leveling and deepening for the collection of Sewage water.

Through the field visit, following conclusion has been drawn:.
1. The pond is surrounded by vegetation in its periphery, is on the main road and is

surrounded by walls on all the sides, with a temple nearby.



2. The water quality of the pond is deteoriating, has sludge and mud around it, and is being

encroached by the solid waste dumping by the villagers.



3. The pond receives 20% of the wastewater generated by the village, and 80% of the water

flows just by the side of the main road.



4. The Gram Panchayat does not have any land near the pond.



5. The Gram Panchayat does not have any funds however are willing to extend whatever

help that may be required for cleaning of the pond.

3. The Wastewater from the village is not coming into the Pond But the staged water from

long time is there, needs cleaning and desilting.



4. The land near the pond is not levelled and therefore very un-even.



5. The pond is surrounded by the Hilly Terrains.
