The ministry of Jalshakti has appointed a nodal officer in each district to review and monitor the works of Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
Under this, the Nodal Officers of Gurugram district, Shri Niwas Danda, IRS (Joint Secretary, Government of India) and Scientist Smt. K. Padmavati (Central Ground Water Board) conducted a three-days inspection of the works being done under Jal Shakti Abhiyan in Gurugram district.
In this three days inspection visit, Central team of Officers and GuruJal team visited Tikli village to participate in Jal Chaupal organised by Atal Bhujal team, and did plantations with the community members. Also, they visited Damdama village to know the current situation of the lake, and monitored the Johad reconstruction works in Daulatabad, Budhera.
The team of Gurujal Society told about the ongoing Johad reconstruction and rejuvenation project in Gurugram district through a presentation. In the end, the Nodal Officer (Jal Shakti Abhiyan) appreciated the work of the district administration. During the visit, District Panchayat and Development Officer, Irrigation Department officials, Gurujal team and other officers were present there.
